GLIMPSE OF WORLD PARTNERS
World Partners is an Indonesian Mission Agency established solely by the grace of the Lord Jesus through His servant, Rev. Pamuji. It is supported by fellow servants of God from Indonesia (Mrs. Meike Sinuraya & Mr. Jemmy Rawis), Malaysia (Dr. Harry Pudun), South Korea (Rev. Sung Won Ahn and Rev. Dr. Yong Sam Jim), and Japan (Rev. Yasuo Atsumi). The agency is Evangelical and Interdenominational in nature.
World Partners began its journey on November 14, 2011, with Notarial Deed No. 01 dated December 21, 2011. It was registered at the Cibinong District Court under No. 11/AN.LSM/2011 and officially declared on February 3, 2012.
World Partners is officially registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs as of May 27, 2019, under Decree Number 264 of 2019 concerning the Registration of the Yayasan Pelayanan Mitra Dunia (World Partners Ministry Foundation).
HISTORY OF WORLD PARTNERS
God not only calls in unique ways, but He also prepares individuals with a shared calling to begin this noble work. On August 17, 2011, Mr. and Mrs. Pamuji, along with their daughter Fidea Sarie Saraswati, Ir. Meike Sinuraya (EM Secretary) and her children Shella and Gemmy, and Ms. Dessy Arisandi (EM staff), gathered at the Flamboyan Restaurant in Batu to pray and seek God's will. During this meeting, they planned the establishment of an Indonesian mission agency, initially named "Lembaga Pelayanan Misi Mutiara Hati Bapa" (The Father’s Heart Pearl Mission Service Agency).
In mid-September 2011, Rev. Pamuji left Batu for Jakarta to start the new mission agency, residing in a home lent by the family of Darwin Marpaung at Perumahan Limus Pratama Regency, Jl. Cendana VII F12/32, Limusnunggal, Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java.
Key Encounters and the Birth of "World Partners"
From October 18–21, 2011, Rev. Pamuji attended the Indonesian Cross-Cultural Conference (ICCC) held in Solo. There, he met a Japanese missionary, Rev. Yasuo Atsumi. Their conversations deeply confirmed Rev. Pamuji's calling to launch the Indonesian mission agency. By the end of October 2011, Mrs. Meiske Pamuji left Batu for Jakarta, while Fidea stayed in Malang to finish high school.
On November 16, 2011, a pivotal meeting of God's servants took place at Cibubur Plaza, attended by Mr. and Mrs. Pamuji, Mrs. Meike Sinuraya, Rev. Sung Won Ahn, and Mr. & Mrs. Yong Sam Jim. Bound by a shared passion to establish an Indonesian mission board that would send missionaries worldwide, they prayed and reconsidered a fitting name for this interdenominational agency.
Rev. Sung Won Ahn initially proposed Global Partners Indonesia (GPI). However, Rev. Pamuji felt it was less suitable as it sounded like a branch of a Korean mission board.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they ultimately agreed on the name World Partners (WP), a name that brought peace to everyone involved.
Following this, a meeting was held at Rev. Pamuji's residence in Limus Pratama. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. Pamuji, Mrs. Sinuraya, Mr. and Mrs. Sung Won Ahn, and Mr. and Mrs. Yong Sam Jim. They mapped out the steps for the official declaration of World Partners and planned the training for the 1st Batch of Missionary Candidates. In mid-January 2012, Mrs. Meike Sinuraya officially resigned from YPPII and moved from Batu to Jakarta to strengthen the World Partners ministry.
Formal Legalization and Official Declaration
In addition to the Indonesian, Korean, and Japanese servants of God mentioned above, a Malaysian minister, Dr. Harry Pudun, also provided vital encouragement for the birth of this Indonesian agency. Despite facing various limitations, Rev. Pamuji worked hard to legalize World Partners. Alongside several colleagues, he went before Notary Lumayan Marbun to officially register the agency.
